Why Are Vitamins Essential For Our Body?

image

Our body just cannot do without vitamins. Vitamins constitute an essential part of our daily food and the body can suffer damages without them.

For example, the lack of ‘Vitamin A’ can cause eye and skin diseases. Lack of ‘Vitamin B’ can cause nervous troubles, insufficient ‘Vitamin C’ can cause scurvy and ‘Vitamin D’ deficiency can cause rickets in children. A correct and balanced intake of vitamins, therefore, provides the body with better health and improved nervous and immune system.

Vitamins can be divided into two types (fat-soluble and water-soluble), and mostly the vitamins can’t be manufactured or synthesized by the organism, and improper absorptions results in specific deficiency disease. Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble which are not easily lost by ordinary cooking methods, so mostly can get it from liver. Vitamins B Complex and C are water soluble which is dissolved easily in cooking water and can’t be stored in our body, so we need to take it daily.
