Why Do We Dream?

The dreams reflect our emotions, fears, longings, wishes, needs and memories. Some outside factors are also responsible for influencing our dreams.

If a person is hungry, tired, cold, his dreams may include these feelings. If the cover has slipped off your bed, you may dream that you are on an iceberg.

According to psychoanalysts dreams are expressions of imaginary wishes that are present in the mind but have not come true. During sleep, dreams are a way to get your wishes fulfilled.
